Bollywood = Indian Cinema??

Me being a complete movie freak, there are few questions that keeps coming up every now and then.
Does Bollywood represent the whole of Indian Cinema?
Do those Bollywood stars really shine in delivering quality and entertaining movies?
Do the Bollywood fans get their value for money?
Do the Bollywood movies are made really 'out of the box' thoughts?
Do the Bollywood Actress really get a chance to 'ACT' in movies or is it only the flesh factor?
Do those Movies emotionally touch you when you leave the movie hall?
Does the Bollywood teams deserve the awards that they get?

For all the questions my simple answer is a very STRONG NO.But definitely there have few quality Bollywood movies / actors / directors / musicians / technicians who have impressed me with their talent. But on the whole, apart from producing more movies, and even more crappy movies sometimes even with great actors is what i have been seeing recently. And there are even times when they get nominated to Oscars also.
Every third hindi movie has been a direct lift from an Hollywood or from other Indian Movies.
This movie industry has produced actors who have been monotonous in their acting. This includes the great Amitabh Bachhan also, who apart from his age hasnt really shown his maturity till now.I really get confused to identify the movie by seeing a single scene of Sharukh's movie, because it is the same in all his movies. But when he makes it different,i was impressed.Remember Chak De.
Pritam's songs used to be my ringtones, until i heard the original versions.
The technically good remakes of the malayalam classics have only increased my likeliness towards the classics.
The actress who move into Bollywood after giving few hits in other Indian Languages really make me hate them. The latest one being Asin. She was 'lucky' enough to give quite a few hits in Tamil before moving into Hindi. And now i am waiting for the day when she is kicked out of Bollywood, when she starts to deliver some flops too.

If these movies aren't enough,we even have the award ceremonies, which are designed to meet the requirements of Bollywood industry alone. These functions are 'trying to be' in the same mould of Hollywood functions the Red Carpert,Awards,Stages etc has been really crap at its best.
The Front Row is always booked to the Bachan family,Amir Khan is always missing,Karan Johar makes fun of him and his own movies, the out of the moon comments of the award winners. If a Bollywood missed an award this week,he neednot worry because there will be another award ceremony every week.If i happen to miss an award function this week,i can watch the 'RE-LIVE' again of the same program the very next week in the name of another award function.
Atleast the National Awards are really Rational and not given only to this movie industry.

It is definitely the right time for this Bollywood industry to understand that apart from they being nationally recognized in this country, there is nothing special about them. They had never made as many good movies that the malayalam industry has made in a year. And they can never make if this trend continues.
Hope they realise that they are only a subset of the Indian Movie Industry!!!!

01.01.2009...

Since 2002, I very seriously noticed that my new year decides how that year is going to be. On New Year Day of 2002, i remember we going on a trip to a place we never knew of, and we couldnt find that place till the evening. And the whole of my 2002 was the worst I ever had. But in 2003, it started well and it was well. The same was in 2007 and 2008.
So I wanted to make 2009 also so special. So I wanted to take control of the New Year day of 2009, so that my 2009 stays under my Control :)

Which Time Zone should I follow? Half of my next year I would be travelling. And the rest of the year I might be India. So I wanted to make sure that I cover up this Entire Time Zone. So my New Year Day started from 12:00 AM IST to 11:59 PM UK Time the next day. I had to control 5.5 hours more than a normal day.

Ok, now what time should I Sleep. Sleeping is one of the important things I ever wanted in my life. I atleast wanted to have a minimum of 8 hours sleep. I dont want to over sleep or under sleep for that day.

What about my Dinner? Because dinner decides few things for the day.
It decides my sleep that day. If i eat too much, it might need a walk a long walk to make me lighter. If I eat less, then I may get up at mid night for some food, which I dont want to happen.
It decides my outgoing the next day. The amount and quality of the food, certainly decides my outgoing the next day morning. Too much of oil food is going to make my morning time worse.

When to get up.Should i get up on my own or on alarm.

Should i cook. I love cooking. I like my own food. Infact i observed that whenever i cook, i eat more and many times in a day. Also it saves me a lot of money in what i spend on the restaurants for food. But in case, if my cooking goes bad that day, it may go that way the whole year.

Should i go out. If i go, then i will be always roaming and no work. This will damage my professional life...

Should i work. One of my professional strength is that being a bachelor i am always available on work round the clock. But this being a holiday, if i work does that mean i will be working the whole year losing my personal life. What if I dont work, I maynot work the whole year next week. Confused!!

aussies losing glory

Dominating the Cricket Arena for the last 2 decades was not a small achievement. And that too, the kind of domination that the Australian Cricket Team, during that period was tremendous. They simply terrorised their opponents. The gap between Australia and their Opponents never got shorter in that period.
Winning the Worldcup three times continously was a Herculean Task. Only in 1999 Worldcup, the Aussies were challenged. The Worldcups in 2003 and 2007, were there for them to Pick it up. Even if there were losses here and there, the opponents had to play like Aussies to beat Ausssies. There were even few opponent players, who avoided playing against the Aussies, because they knew that his Batting / Bowling averages will certainly for a toss.
Their Academy was planned strategically. The Selectors were shrewd. They were looking for improvement and consistency, every match. Their captains were outspoken. They always led by example ON and OFF the field. Their batsmen were consistent and attacking. And they never wanted to bat in the second innings. The batsmen were supported adequately by their bowlers, who will run with the same spirit every time, they got a chance to bowl. Their fielding was the best. Innovation was at its best in cricket during that period.

But universal law is that every good thing comes to an end after a period of time. And that is what I am currently seeing in the recent Aussies performance.

Losing the recent series to India was expected by me. The reason being that, it was always the Aussie Bowling, which was their main strength. Because they have to pick up 20 wickets in a test match to win. And when their main strike bowlers retired, the youngsters were under pressure to perform. And that too to play a series in India, where wickets are made to suit the batting strength of India, I expected the Aussie bowlers to have nightmares. But still their bowlers showed the fight and played to their potential / experience.

But the series loss to South Africa at Home, was a shock to me. That too, they were is a very good position to win both the first 2 test matches. But this time, their bowlers clearly let them down. They clearly missed the experience, when they gave away more than 150 runs for the last 3 wickets. It was a shame to the bowlers, who performed well against the Indians.
Their batting also lost a bit of touch in this series. Hayden was struggling to make that big score, that he always does. His batting was very good. His shots were still powerful and confident. But he couldn't convert the starts that he got. But if he had start firing, it certainly would have been his series. I am certainly missing Hayden's innings. Although, there have been talks about his retirement, I strongly feel that he is the best to be the opener for Australia at least till the Ashes in 2009. Hussey was the biggest failure of this series. He simply couldnt get runs in both the test matches. But it will be just that he is not able to get in an innings. And when gets that, it should be Hussey at his best.
If these 2 batsmen start to fire the cylinders, I dont even think that the other Aussie Batsmen need to bat. Hayden and Hussey should be able to take the attack to the bowlers. And I wish that 2009 bring good luck to the Aussie Batsmen, especially to Hayden, Hussey and Symonds.

SouthAfricans are always vulnerable against the Spin bowling. Warne, Kumble have been consistently successful against the SouthAfricans. Giving full credit to what Krezja and Hauritz has done so far to Australian Team, I personally feel that the one spin bowler they missed was Brad Hogg. He is one of the bowlers who was very tough to read. And I think that the SA would have had a tough team, if he played. But I am confident that Krezja and Hauritz will play a very crucial hand in rebuilding the Australian Cricket Team. We saw that in Nagpur when Krezja picked up 12 wickets in his very first match. The talent is there, but it just need a grooming. And it is upto the coach and captain to make that happen. And I am confident that they are gonna do it.

Me being an Australian Fan from the day I understand cricket, it is certainly disappointing to see the Aussies lose matches. But I am certainly ready to wait till they rebuild the team and reach their glory again. And this rebuiling is not tough to that Allan Border did in 1987. Now, the talent is there. It just needs a bit of grooming / shaping. And the time is not so far before I see Aussie are back to winning.

great 2008, the professional way...

My Professional Year couldn't have got better than 2008. It was the best ever I was gifted with. Name it like Client Interaction, First Onsite Trip, Direct Client Interaction, Long Term Onsite Assignments, the most expected Release of the year :), Support Resolutions to Rollout Solutions etc, I simply enjoyed it a lot more than I regret. That was the best I would have asked for, on this same day one year back.
  • It all started with my Reporting Manager had to go on leave for his marriage and it was all upto me to interact with the client. After being behind the scenes for most of the time in 2007, it was an opportunity I was waiting for. Although this was for a very shot period of time with less intervention from others, I enjoyed that period when I had to take certain responsibilities and decisions. And my users didn't make life easier for the first time. The conditions were certainly not favoring me. But I made the cautious start that would have made Mathew Hayden proud of :).
  • In the Mid of March, the next opportunity was waiting for me. Thanks to my performance in the previous short term assignment, I was ready to face the music for the second time. This time with better Responsibilities. But better opportunities came at an expense of more hard work and I was prepared for that. It was the Finland Go Live. Most of the time, I was still the shadow resource. But again there was a time just before the Go Live, that I was all alone again. I felt that was the crucial part of that Rollout . I could live up to it also, with better results. Although, the CMR and Decimal Dust Issue had to drain me out, I could manage the show without major hiccups.
  • And the at the time of Go Live, I got my first opportunity to come onsite to Mold. Infact the first time out of my Country. Probably, I must have crossed the border when the flight from Trivandrum to Mumbai flies above the Indian Ocean. But this was actually crossing the better and going to another country. This was the first time, I happen to actually 'use' my Passport. Although that trip was like a replacement trip, I know I deserved every bit of it. At the same time, I also had many other things to prove to myself and to the team.
  • The travel plan couldn't have had more dramas than my travel date was confirmed in 4 hours time. I had to pack and catch the flight at 1 AM in the morning and succesfully got it done. As if I was not enjoying this drama, it so happened that I had to miss my luggage at Frankfurt. It didnt travel with me to Manchester. Just with a Laptop Bag, I had to manage the next few days :( Even if this was not enough, the first day at Mold office, all my colleagues left the town. And on the first day of my trip at onsite I had to be alone without a contact number, without my luggage. The only person who I knew was Ken Wallace, the Taxi Driver who usually works for us.
  • And then was the learning part. It so happened that I made 2 mistakes in the setups. Although I could find the solution, I felt terrible for the mistakes. But had to convince me that I am only a Human.
  • After 2 weeks in Mold, when I was planning to go back to India, Finland Users wanted me to come there for 2 weeks. I also had 2 of my colleagues and 1 other friend coming there. I packed my things again and went to Finland. After being in Indian and UK, I had to meet the people and cars that drive on the other side. Finland was a nice country which I liked a lot. I happened to go to 2 of the sites, where the food was most of the times Salad with Bread and Butter only. And it so happened that during these 2 weeks, I must experienced very less of work, because the users were busy with the summer vacations.
  • After this 2 weeks, I was scheduled to fly to India. And when I left Finland, I decided I had enough of the Onsite experience. I decided not to come back Onsite, simply that I was missing many things back in India. I landed on India on the day of my Birthday. Right at 12 AM on 29th June 2008, I was in the Hyderabad Airport with 2 Takila in both my Hands (for Gautam). And I wished Happy Birthday to myself. I couldn't have asked for a better birthday experience than this.
  • Then things changed again in the project. And the project had new plans for me, where in I was required as a complete Support Team Consultant to work from Mold, for a longer period. By this time, my Work Permit was processed. I couldn't take a decision on the same. Those few days were terrible, where I was caught in a dilemma of Work and Personal Life. But I was destined to come back to Mold.
  • Then was the actual learning process, I had. Being in the Support Team, I took more responsibilities. I had the Freedom to take the appropriate decisions at the right time. I was independent. And the team had the trust in me. It so happened that few of the long pending critical objects were completed with less bugs during that Period. That gave me the complete satisfaction on my Performance. Ultimately, I could keep my Users happy. And that made me happy.
  • But again it so happened that after a period of time, I was not enjoying the work, due to various reasons. Then got the right shift to move on to the Rollout Team. And Austria being my next destination, this bigger plant will give me enough opportunities to learn and excel more. This should make my 2009 very special.
On the whole, I have to thank 2008 for providing me the platform for me to grow on. And now it is up to me and 2009 to have a smooth Journey.
Miss you 2008.

stop this nonsense!!

Not many movies makes me feel for the movie. That too if it is a hindi movie, I (being a Tamilian) need to have that extra open feeling to accept that movie. Because I come from a background where I am proud to say that, Idli / Sambhar is the best breakfast in this world or Hollywood has to learn acting from Kamalhaasan or bring all the music directors in the world together and put in one plate of a balance and you will be still short of one Ilaiyaraja to match against the Ilaiyaraja on the other plate. If any one can make a movie that can impress me to 10% of what an Anbe Sivam did to me, that would be the second best to many of my favorite movies. I repeat it , it would be still the second best to my huge list of favorite movies in Tamil (Tamilanukke ulla karvam thaan ithu).

But one such movie, that really hurt me was 'A Wednesday'. This infact to be considered as a movie would be an Understatement, this is actually a STATEMENT to this world against Terrorism.

Terrorism is in all of us. Mind it, I am still the same sperm that killed million other sperms before I even existed. But I was not born with a gun. Even no babies are born with a Gun. Be it in Pakistan or Afghanistan also. My School / College books didnt teach me what Terrorism was. Neither did the Society that grew with. Infact, the word Terrorism itself was taught to me by the Terrorists themselves. When I was young, I was fond of Fire Crackers during Deepavali. But i would light the cracker and run half a kilometer, turn back and close my eyes & ears. Now i dont know to which of these bombs would I die one day. Although I am afraid of these terrorists, this fear factor makes make me angry at times. It was just one of that common man in this movie, who woke up oneday with a plan to say to the world that 'we are smarter than you'. But if the path to prove that statement is correct or wrong is secondary. But this common man HAD that courage to open his eyes, 'atleast in a movie'.

But will this terrorism 'ever' End? Terrorism is not going to end by force, it can end only by self realization. An Army or American President or Pakistan President or Indian PM or 500 crores people or the above common man can never end this. Until unless the terrorists realise the value of a Human Life, this is never going to end.

If this will end, When will that be? God Only Knows. It started with Ramayana and Mahabharatha, the famous epics / stories of my religion and continued with the Kings and Samrats and continues with Terrorism and Rowdism. Pandavas went on war against their brothers (infact 101 of them), uncles, teachers and killed every one of them. The great spiritual character Krishna even preached to Arjuna during the war. And I have Bhagavat Gita to justify this act. He started this. But the same Krishna never said when this would end. Yes, it is also said that one of his avatars is still 'pending'. And he would protect the world. But who is he going to protect and from whom?

If God only knows, then Which God? Yeah. We have Gods in different Form / Structure / Religion / Names. We even found ways of getting diversified using God. We spend our whole life in search of an unseen / invisible God, but forgot to respect the Gods around us with blood and flesh. We never spend a penny to those homeless children with us, but never had a second thought to pay donation to temples that needed renovation.

But one thing is for sure, if some country wants to take control of my country by Terrorism, beware 'We are smarter than you'. And also dont forget that we got you freedom from the Britishers.

So Stop this Nonsense and be a Human Being and if you dont like Indian System, Get out of my Country and leave us alone!!!

India @ 60

I dont remember the heroes of the Kargil war;
But i still keep following the Heroes of the Cricket sports.

I never bothered to read Gandhiji's The moment of truth;
But i do own a original copy of my favorite cricketer's 1000 pages autobiography.

I cant even figure out the number of states in my country;
But i do can list out my favorite actor's 300 movie's title.

Every year on this day we have a national holiday to remember the freedom struggle;
Yes,i plan to party out with my friends.

I never tried to learn what my national anthem means;
But i have made several attempts to translate many of the regional songs.

I can’t find out a Freedom Fighter, even if I am given 100 clues; But I can identify any International Former and Current Cricketer by seeing a part of his Photo.

This has been Indian Independence for me so far.

However i am lucky to see the world every morning when i open my eyes.
So on this day,i do can take few minutes of my life and thank all those souls who have fought and given that freedom.
Happy Independence day.

Sunil Gavaskar's Comments!!!

A lot has been spoken about the Australian cricketer’s behavior ON and OFF the field by SunilGavaskar. First it was during an ICC function, where he criticized about the “Sledging” and then recently in an interview, criticizing the Aussies “Arrogant Behavior”. Both the times he was given the right reply by the then Australian Captain SteveWaugh and now by RickyPonting. I too agree with the very few facts that Sunny has pointed. But one question keeps coming always to me, Why couldn’t sunny look beyond those factors, which he feels is damaging the Cricket. I personally feel that there are many other factors that could be studied from the Australian Cricket team. But surprisingly, why isn’t sunny discussing about those great qualities they possess. Is he trying to bring to the world only one side of the team, by hiding numerous qualities that has made the Australian team the one of the all time best teams in the history? As I have pointed out there are many things which any cricketer could learn from the great Australian Side.
  • In 2003 WorldCup semifinal match against Srilanka, Gilchrist made a remarkable move by WALKING, when the umpire was not sure about the catch. Considering the crucial situation of the match, in which Aussies didn’t make too many runs, this move of walking was one of the greatest sportsmanship which he showed. Moreover, he still continues to walk, never waits for the umpires decision, never bothered about the game situation. We also have batsmen who usually walk after making a century, but not under crucial situations [eg] Brian Lara. But this move by Gilly has made other youngsters like KumaraSangakkara [Srilanka] and YuvrajSingh [India] also to follow the same.
  • It is a world wide known fact that Australians behavior aggressively in general. Hence their behavior in the ICC Champions trophy 2006 prize distribution ceremony in India, where the Aus team was criticized for pushing SharadPawar [BCCI President] from the podium, doesn’t bring any surprise to me. But the media made it a big issue, without knowing what happened there in the podium. But still RickyPonting pointed out that they never did any mistake and he apologized to the media, so that the Indian public is not hurt by that incident.
  • The Australian cricketers still keep playing domestic level of cricket, where in the Indian cricketers play domestic cricket only when they are dropped from the Indian team. But all the Australian Cricketers take pride and passion in playing at the domestic levels. In fact, SteveWaugh used to represent a Bank team at Sydney, which is equivalent to the Divisional level teams in India; where in the Indian cricketers find it a shame to play at even state levels.
  • The Australian Cricket team was also there to help the needed. Let it be the forest fire or earthquake or tsunami attacks, they come willingly in helping. They help through playing charity benefit matches or through actions of their cricket gears. This is on the fact that they are not the highest paid cricketers in the world.
  • When they face defeats, which they rarely fact, they don’t blame their loss on other factors other than their poor team performance or superior opponent team performance. They never blamed the loss on the weather or the wicket or the umpiring decisions.
  • When it comes to encouraging young players within the team and in the opponent side, they have shown more interest in them. They have always been there to help and guide the youngsters, in teaching the techniques and guiding them in their career. MarlonSamuels [WestIndies], RahulDravid [India], MohammedAshraful [Bangladesh] have benefitted a lot through them.
  • When a new rule has been set in the game, they have always been the first to support or to be against the rule. When the Super Sub rule was brought into the game, it was the Australians who were the first to voice against that rule, which was removed from the game eventually later on. Although they have been playing well in the new format 20-20 matches, they are against the format, as they are aware of the fact that this can spoil the spirit of the Test and Oneday matches in the future.
  • They have one of the best academy, the well organized cricket board and the best selection panel. They don’t mind showing the door to any of the star players, if they are not contributing to the team’s success consistently. This is most unlikely to happen in the other countries. [eg] AllanBorder, MarkTaylor, Waugh Brothers etc
  • The ugliest thing that happened to this game was the Match fixing. Asians were predominantly involved in this scandal, although they denied it always, even after being caught red handed. But I rarely find any Australian cricketer in connection to these scandals. This after being the world champions and not being the richest cricketers in the world. Although when ShaneWarne and MarkWaugh were caught for providing information to an Indian bookie, they accepted their mistake and took up the punishment, unlike the former Indian cricketers, who are still denying their involvement in the scandals.
  • There has never been an ugly incident between a coach and its players, which was brought into the public. [eg] Ganguly Vs Chappell email incident.
  • The board and players have been always cooperated taking the team’s and nation’s dignity under their main motto.

Looking at all these qualities it is certainly surprising why sunny has to point out only few of the points that are certainly not spoiling the spirit of the game, which he himself spoiled few times when he was playing international cricket.

Hence rather than looking the glass to be Half Empty, may be he should look that the glass is also Half full.

M.B.A.

Forget my XAT scores!!!
Now why do i want to do MBA,after being in the production field for last 3 years with a well paid salary in the best company for my field?

Is it because,
I wanted to be a Professional, because i write so in my RESUME..
Or to get more dowry,so that i could be sold for more money in the market..
Or my seniors at my workplace were urging me to leave the current work location, because it is isolated and has no life in it..
Or the college i wanted to join is so close to my native place and i may get a job preferably in the same area,as i am so affectionative to my family..
Or the college i wanted to join can get me a good job for a better salary, though i am paid well with few facilities in my current job..
Or i wanted to prove the college that i deserve a place in their college, who rejected me 3 years back..
Or i dont know what unemployment is,i got my first job in the first interview..
Or eveyone in my batch are resigning one by one,as i dont want to be last one to stay in this company..
Or my friends are switching jobs, but i was not even getting interview calls from comapnies i apply..
Or oneday after my MBA i can settle in US,as i am not a software engineer and i cant afford to do my M.S there..
Or my friend at this college tells me it would be easy for me to get admission,because..
Or after 3 years of industrial work experience,i can be perform better if i have a MBA degree, though my current designation is as Manager..
Or i still have to eagerness to read more, because i read a new novel every week..
Or i dont want to have the Engineering degree, because every one of the 4 Indians have this degree..
Or my bride's family would think twice before confirm my marriage,as she will have to stay with me in a remote area..

I will have to find an answer to this, atleast before i go for MBA selection interview..
If it was so easy to find the answer,i hope i would never leave my current job and go for my MBA.

Be Polite

During class, a teacher trying to teach good manners asks her students, one by one,
"If you were on a date, having supper with a nice young lady, how would you tell her that you have to go to the bathroom?"

Michael responds "Just a minute, I have to go piss."
The teacher replied, That would be rude and impolite!

"What about you John, how would you say it?"
"I am sorry, but I really need to go to the bathroom, I'll be right back"
The teacher responded, "That's better, but it's still not very nice to say the word bathroom at the table."

"And you Peter, are you able to use your intelligence for once and show us your good manners?"
I would say "Darling, may I please be excused for a moment, I have to shake hands with a very dear friend of mine, whom I hope you'll get to meet after supper."

The teacher fainted.

Equally Brilliant

This is one of the greatest paradoxes ever recorded in history

A Law teacher once came across a student who was willing to learn but was unable to pay the fee. The student struck a deal saying, "I would pay your fee the day I win my first case in the court". Teacher agreed and proceeded with the law course. When the course was finished and the teacher started pestering the student to pay up the fee, the student reminded the deal and pushed forward the days. Fed up with this, the teacher decided to sue the student in the court of law and both of them decided to argue for themselves.
The teacher put forward his argument saying: "If I win this case, as per the court of law, the student has to pay me. And if I lose the case, the student will still have to pay me because he would have won his first case. So either way I will have to get the money."
Equally brilliant, the student argued back saying: "If I win the case, as per the court of law, I don't have to pay anything to the teacher. And if I lose the case, I don't have to pay him because I haven't won my first case yet. So either way, I am not going to pay the teacher anything."

LPG Cylinders

Do you know that there is an expiry date for LPG cylinders?
Expired Cylinders are not safe for use and may cause accidents.
In this regard please be cautious at the time of accepting any LPG cylinder from theVendor.
Here is how we can check the expiry of LPG cylinders:

PARENTS

An old man was sitting in the courtyard of his house along with his son who had received a high education. Suddenly a crow perched on a wall of the house.
The father asked the son: What is this?
The son replied: It is a crow.
After a little while the father again asked the son: What is this?
The son said: It is a crow.
After a few minutes the father asked his son the third time: What is this?
The son said: Father, I have just now told you that this is a crow.
After a little while the old father again asked his son the fourth time: what is this?
By this time some expression of irritation was felt in the son's tone when he rebuffed his father: Father! It is a crow, a crow.
A little after the father again asked his son: What is this? This time the son replied to his father with a vein of temper. Father: You are always repeating the same question, although I have told you so many times that it is a crow. Are you not able to understand this?
The father went to his room and came back with an old diary. Opening a page he asked his son to read what was written. What the son read were the following words written in the diary:
"Today my little son was sitting with me in the courtyard, when a crow came there. My son asked me twenty-five times what it was and I told him twenty-five times that it was a crow and I did not at all feel irritated. I rather felt affection for my innocent child."
The father then explained to his son the difference between a father's and a son's attitude. While you were a little child you asked me this question twenty-five times and I felt no irritation in replying to the question twenty-five times and when today I asked you the same question only five times, you felt irritated, annoyed and impatient with me.

A SALT & SWEET LOVE STORY

He met her on a party. She was so outstanding, many guys chasing after her, while he was so normal, nobody paid attention to him. At the end of the party, he invited her to have coffee with him, she was surprised, but due to being polite, she promised.
They sat in a nice coffee shop, he was too nervous to say anything, she felt uncomfortable, she thought, please, let me go home.
Suddenly he asked the waiter: "would you please give me some salt? I'd like to put it in mycoffee."
Everybody stared at him, so strange! His face turned red, but, still, he put the salt in his coffee and drank it.
She asked him curiously : "why you have this hobby?"
He replied: "when I was a little boy, I was living near the sea,I liked playing in the sea, I could feel the taste of the sea ,just like the taste of the salty coffee. Now every time I have the salty coffee, I always think of my childhood, think of my home town, I miss my home town so much, I
miss my parents who are still living there".
While saying that tears filled his eyes. She was deeply touched.
That's his true feeling, from the bottom of his heart. A man who can tell out his homesickness, he must be a man who loves home, cares about home, has responsibility of home. Then she also started to speak, spoke about her far away hometown, her childhood, her family. That was a really nice talk, also a beautiful beginning of their story.
They continued to date. She found that actually he was a man who meets all her demands; he had tolerance, was kind hearted, warm, careful. He was such a good person but she almost missed him! Thanks to his salty coffee!
Then the story was just like every beautiful love story, the princess married to the prince, then they were living the happy life...
And, every time she made coffee for him, she put some salt in the coffee, as she knew that's the way he liked it.
After 40 years, he passed away, left her a letter which said:" My dearest, please forgive me, forgive my whole life lie. This was the only lie I said to you---the salty coffee. Remember
the first time we dated? I was so nervous at that time, actually I wanted some sugar, but I said salt it was hard for me to change so I just went ahead. I never thought that could be the start of our communication!I tried to tell you the truth many times in my life, but I was too afraid to
do that, as I have promised not to lie to you for anything.. Now I'm dying,I afraid of nothing so I tell you the truth: I don't like the salty coffee, what a strange bad taste..But I have had the salty coffee for my whole life! Since I knew you, I never feel sorry for anything I do for you. Having you with me is my biggest happiness for my whole life. If I can live for the second time, still want to know you and have you for my whole life, even though I have to drink the salty coffee again".
Her tears made the letter totally wet.
Someday, someone asked her: "what's the taste of salty coffee?"
It's sweet. She replied !!!
Love begins with a smile, grows with a kiss and ends with a tear.

A DIFFERENT QUESTION

Most cricketers, who are not comfortable in conversing in English, usually go prepared for some standard questions that are asked from them when commentators chat with them during the awards ceremony.
Inzamam was once asked a different question after Pakistan won the match, for which he was not prepared. He always had a standard response to the first question. But this time.....
Tony Greig : So Inzi, that's fantastic, your wife is pregnant for the second time!
Inzamam: Bismillah-e-Rehman-e-Rahim! All credit goes to the boys.Everyone work hard for it, especially Afridi. It was tight situation when he went in. Without his strokes it not have been possible. He was pulling the good balls. Also Bob Woolmer was keeping a close watch on progress and giving instructions. It's all team effort which pulled us out of big hole. InshaAllah, we all will work together as team, put in b ig effort and deliver good result all the time

ICE

The London incident &; the Mumbai floods have promoted concerns and I share with you something useful. As long as everyone knows what ICE stands for, it is not a bad idea. A useful thing to add to your mobile address book!

It was thought up by an ambulance man/paramedic who found that when they went to the scenes of accidents there were always mobile phones but they didn't know which numbers to call and he thought that it would be a good idea if there was a nationally recognized name to file "next of kin" under. Following the disaster in London . . . East Anglian Ambulance Service have launched a national "In case of Emergency (ICE)" campaign with the support of Falkland 's war hero Simon Weston.

The idea is that you store the word " I C E " in your mobile phone Address book, and against it enter the number of the person you would want to be contacted "In Case of Emergency".
In an emergency situation ambulance and hospital staff will then be able to quickly find out who your next of kin are and be able to contact them. It's so simple that everyone can do it. It really could save your life, or put a loved one's mind at rest. For more than one contact name ICE1, ICE2, ICE3 etc.

At 6 Years My daddy knows everybody.
At 10 Years My daddy is good but is short tempered
At 12 Years My daddy was very nice to me when I was young
At 14 Years My daddy is getting fastidious.
At 16 Years My daddy is not in line with the current times.
At 18 Years My daddy is becoming increasingly cranky.
At 20 Years Oh! Its becoming difficult to tolerate daddy. Wonder how Mother puts up with him.
At 25 Years Daddy is objecting to everything.
At 30 Years It's becoming difficult to manage my son. I was so scared of my father when I was young.
At 40 Years Daddy brought me up with so much discipline. Even I should do the same
At 45 Years I am baffled as to how my daddy brought us up.
At 50 Years My daddy faced so many hardships to bring us up. I am unable to manage a single son.
At 55 Years My daddy was so far sighted and planned so many things for us. He is one of his kind and unique.
At 60 Years My daddy is great.
Thus, it took 56 years to complete the cycle and come back to the 1st stage!
So Don't waste time and Never forget your parents.

LOSE WEIGHT?

This fat guy sees an ad for a new gymguaranteeing to reduce anyone's weight by 5, 10 or 20 kilograms on the first day. So he goes and tells them he wants to lose 5 kg.
They lead him into a huge gym with all kinds of ropes and parallel bars and ladders and tell him to wait a minute.
He's standing there when on the far side of the gym a door opens and outsteps a beautiful girl, with a sign saying "If you catch me, I'm yours."
He starts running, and just as he gets close, she starts picking up speed. Before he knows it, he's running all over the gym, up the ladders, down the ladders, across the parallel bars, here and there. And just as he's about to catch the blonde, pop, she disappears through a door.
In comes themanagement who lead him to the showers, and then weigh him.
Sure enough, he lost exactly 5 kg.
He's back on the street and starts to think."Jesus, I was so close to catching her. If I had a little more time..."
So he races back to the gym and says, "I want to lose 20 more kg."
"No problem," says the manager.
Again he is led to the large gym.
This time he's standing by the door whenit opens.
Out comes a Gorilla with a board hung around its neck "If I catch you, you're mine."

RECRUITMENT

Problem in recruiting the right person for the right chair?
Suggest this simple experiment.
Put around 100 bricks in some particular order in a closed room with an open window. Then send the candidates into the room and close it from outside. Leave them alone and call them back after 6 hours, and then analyse the situation:

1) If they are counting and recounting the number of bricks - PUT THEM IN ACCOUNTS DEPT.

2) If they have messed up the whole place with the bricks - PUT THEM IN THE ENGG. DEPT
3) If they are arranging the bricks in some other order - PUT THEM IN PLANNING

4) If they are throwing the bricks at each other - PUT THEM IN OPERATIONS

5) If they are sleeping - PUT THEM IN SECURITY

6) If they have broken the bricks into pieces - PUT THEM IN INFORMATION TECHNOLOGY

7) If they are sitting idle - PUT THEM IN HRD

8) If they have thrown the bricks out of the window - PUT THEM IN THE MATERIALS DEPT.
9)If they are clinging onto the bricks - PUT THEM IN FINANCE

10)If they are talking to each other and not a brick has moved - PUT THEM IN TOP MANAGEMENT.
